Used men's clothing is the basis for my designs. Men's ties, dress shirts, and suit pants are the raw materials from which I was decomposing and reconstructing this series of work. when I showed this work I had labeled it with some strong philosophical ideas of transforming masculine symbols into garments that acquire a soft and sexy femininity. That could be true, but what I really feel is that this is about texture the love of material and hard labor. I have enjoyed making those pieces very much, each one took a while to make. They turned out very sculptural and standalone pieces.
